Legal Equality = Liberty
Financial Equality = Socialism
Everyone hates that word, socialism. However, if you only read the definition you'd all be all for it. Truth is, socialism and capitalism have a ying-yang affect on and need for eachother. Capitalism ensures that there is money and that its competed for so that the best products, services, and workers benefit most. Socialism makes sure you have unemployment when you have no job, food stamps when you have no food, welfare when you have no money, public housing assistance when you have no home, utility assistance when you can't pay your bills, employment assistance to get back on your feet, and yes soon health care! Stop being dicks and twats about allt his. Either that or collectively agree that social security, welfare, foodstamps, section 8 housing, medicare, medicaid, unemployment, and every other benefit YOU or SOMEONE YOU KNOW has had to use and been GREATFUL for in life is all a bunch of communist crap that should be obliterated. Make sure you say it out loud to see how dumb it sounds when you do it.

Our rights come from our Creator, not governments. It says it plain as day for all to see. HEALTH CARE does not EQUAL life. As a matter of fact the majority of the founders looked at healthcare as a personal responsibility. For us to be free AND civil, we would have to take care of ourselves to a certain extent, right? They also warned of what type of government the citizens would get if the Federal government ran healthcare.

A right is a principle that specifies something which an individual should be free to have or do. A right is an entitlement, something you possess free and clear, something you can exercise without asking anyone else's permission. Because it is an entitlement, not a privilege or favor, we do not owe anyone else any gratitude for their recognition of our rights.
The right to life is the right to act freely for one's self-preservation. It is not a right to be immune from death by natural causes, even an untimely death. And the right to property is the right to act freely in the effort to acquire wealth, the right to buy and sell and keep the fruits of one's labor. It is not a right to expect to be given wealth.

The alleged right to medical care is one instance of a broader category known as welfare rights. Welfare rights in general are rights to goods: for example, a right to food, shelter, education, a job, etc. This is one basic way in which they are quite different from liberty rights, which are rights to freedom of action, but don't guarantee that one will succeed in obtaining any particular good one may be seeking.
If I have such a right, some other person or group has the involuntary, unchosen obligation to provide it.
