Old Mars Pics

I'm heavy into mars anomalies. And since the opportunity rover isnt moving fast enough for me I have decided to start from Pathfinder and work my way up to current to find some new mars anomalies. Or at least revisit some old ones that I may have not seen yet.

Is where I am starting, and have already come across this interesting photo:

In almost the middle you can see what looks to be a two by four laying amongst the stones. There are also some interesting curved features of the stones on the right side of the picture in the background. I will bump this up from time to time if I can locate more interesting items.

D'oh I downloaded the picture and started some enhancements in gimp. Saw that the two by four is acually where the pics were spliced together sorry! *Still looking*

take a look at this hig res picture - then look at the slightly discoloured area down fom the first peak on the left, then click and enlarge that portion - I believe it has clearly been tampered with.............. :look:

or is there another explanation?
