I figure the government would rather keep old people to create further bureaucracies and industries like prisons and their sub contractors who get allot of money.
Old people are a growing industry and I'm sure some people would be getting rich.
I first thought this when they were giving out stimulus money here in Australia years ago. It was sought of an Australian bail out of businesses because we were all given 700 dollars and told to spend it and we did. And that money whet to business and it was many billions of dollars. We repackaged bailout as stimulus and gave our money away to failing businesses when those many billions could have been used to create better businesses and education and infrastructure. Now we owe 160 billion to the international banks and we are told we are financial pillars of the world by our puppet gilard who gets 500k a year in puppet money.

I definately don't think that this is the case in Canada. There may be some bad stories, but from what I've seen, our elderly are well taken care of, and so they should be.
