Pee and waste power is good however I can't see why we can't just make our own solar power hydrogen generators to power atleast caravans since it's relatively easy to break water apart and cheap kits are available on ebay.
If they can work for a car then they can power an inverter and power atleast parts of our homes if not more with
a big enough gas electrical generator.

It's mostly because it's easier to just charge batteries using solar power. Going the extra step of cooking hydrogen isn't needed.

I suppose you are right because buying a decent gas generator and electrolysis kit would be just as expensive as buying batteries and considering the solar panels may degrade at the same rate as the batteries then it may not be feasable for now.
However it would be cool to make your own hydrogen during the day and using it at night woudn't you agree, instead of old boring batteries?

Also, click this link and download this episode of futurama from rapidshare, it's the new armegeddon episode, very good.
Found on my secret alternate site to megauploadforum.net

It would be. I'm still looking for a video I mentioned where a guy set up that exact system...solar and wind producing hydrogen. It worked but the guy was a college professor and had access to a lot of equipment I'd have to rent - then learn how to use.

Serious, why can't you just make your own hybrid system using existing systems in tandem? :)

I justed watched the episode of futurama where you fictionaly vote for a president who has to prove he is from kenya. LOL, nice hidden honesty.

How much energy does it produce? they have left this key piece of information out.

WOW, there are some smart people out there. Screw solar panels. This dude says a 30 foot dish can make 30kw of electricity.

Incredible. This won't see the light of day.
It's like the oil fields of the sky technology.

The oil companies will have to buy this up quick smart.

I lied, I just saw how many enthusiasts are working on sterling motors.
I would invest in this technology if it's started up on the stock exchange.
Just look in the youtube related videos and see the work the youngsters
are doing, I'm impressed.

Genius, doesn't even need the sun just a strong enough heat source. Cool.
Perhaps nuclear reactors could be smaller in size when coupled with efficient
sterling generators with hydrogen heat dissipating pistons taking advantage of the heat and
not steam turbines.
I would think that these pistons would push out more horsepower with less
heat required then the turbine as turbines are always hungry. :robot:

Wow, 25 kw per dish, just like that bloke said in the top video.
He wasn't far off. WOW.

The only advantage I can see of solar panels now is that they have no
moving parts.
We got a 4kw system recently and it only ever produces around 2.8 kw
even when overpanneled with 19 panels split on two strings.

Don't buy a 5 kw system if you are looking at it, the amount of solar panels
you need realistically to get to the 5 kw's is insane.

It's winter here in Qld Australia and the best it's done is 3 kw over an hour being 3 kwh's
during summer I know that we will get the max power output however
if you are going to buy a solar power system you may be better of
buying a smaller system and having the installer over panel it with
extra panels to take advantage of the inverter you ordered as the standard
number of panels that come with the packages will never let you reach your maximum
unless your panels are on an expensive helioscope perhaps. :look:

Oh, lol I get it, Cause you can pee constantly while powering an electric car and
enjoy getting drunk at the same time. hehe. :P

I think the pee powered generator died in the ass when I found this sterling motor,
it's so simple and effective.

Why we are still buying solar panels is anyones guess.

Though you would need a heliostat to follow the sun and that would be expensive
making this unaffordable for the time being.

But after seeing the use of a blow torch to create the heat necessary one can see
that this technology could be used in different ways and with different heat
sources.

I know I've seen an Australian inventor who recently showed a super hot water system
that can store hot water at incredible temperatures.

I'll try to find that story since something like that could store the suns energy at night
and perhaps have enough heat to run a sterling motor even if a smaller modest
motor at 3 kw. The heat dissipated through the hydrogen piston motor would slowly drain the
super hot water storage system but how quickly?

http://bze.org.au/media/radio/steve-hol ... age-090402

This mans storage technique means water or gas heat i guess can be stored for long
periods of time before it dissipates.

The full technology is explained in the link:

http://bze.org.au/media/radio/steve-hol ... age-090402

What that all means, getting away from the scientific goobledigook, is that if you have a block of extremely hot graphite and if you put your hand close to it, 50 mm away from it, you actually can’t feel it because it’s not radiating heat. Mind you, if you touch it you might lose your finger! It’s that property that contains the heat. So over a day, and obviously there are some differences with ambient temperature conditions and so forth, over a day our blocks lose about 3 to 5% of the thermal energy heat contained within them. Now that depends on wind and temperatures and so forth, but that’s about the average. So, in other words, if you heated the block up and didn’t take any energy out of it, it would take well over a month to actually just cool down to where it started from.

This combined with a sterling motor would be interesting for night time use. :headscratch:
