To drive legally in the carpool lane, you need to or more people in the car. This man used his corporation paperwork as his passenger, stating the a corporation is a person under California law.

Oh god, I LOVE this!! I never thought of this. I'm going to do this too.
Guaranteed, the cop will not show up in court. His superiors will instruct him not to because THIS IS A HOUSE OF CARDS.
