Grenada - A four-year-old toddler is YouTube's latest sensation, after a video of him imitating his preacher father was uploaded to the video-sharing community.
Kanon Tipton started preaching when he was just 21 months old, and continues to do so at his family's Pentecostal church in Mississippi.
Tipton's initial video drew over 4 million hits on YouTube, and while it has been praised by many, it has also been the subject of heavy criticism.
One YouTube user said:

"Brainwashed at 4 years old, the boy's never even lived how does he know anything? Social Services need to save this kid."

Meanwhile, Tipton's dad is in full support of his son:

"I believe it's a phenomenon. I feel like the hand of God is on him in a very special way but he is the third generation of preachers so it's in his blood."

I'm surprised it took this long for this story to be posted. I don't' have a problem with it, it's the parents prerogative and the kid doesn't appear as if he's forced to do it. Looks like he rather enjoys it and it hurts no one. The kids 4 though, no matter how 'cute' I thought it was. I sure wouldn't sit there and take spiritual guidance from a 4 year old.

It's no different than those weirdos that drag their young kids to beauty pageants, force them to get into whatever activity their parents are interested in. I.E. those overzealous coaches and their kids on their sports team, political activism, etc.

Me personally? No, I'd never be like that with my kid. But who am I to tell another parent how to raise their child. I have no doubts that for the horror stories you could dig up on the internet. There are an equal amount of kids that grow up in that atmosphere that succeed, are happy, and grateful to their parents when they get older. No matter how twisted we think it is.

The difference is, when you drag a kid to a beauty pageant, you try to sway a few. When you put a 4 year old up on the pulpit, you try to sway many. You're right, would I bend to a 4 year olds bible thumping, Nada! Not a chance in hell. But apparently some are smitten by this young'un. All the power to em. F'kn idiots!
