Doctors may be able to invoke the same benefits of placebos without the deception.
A fake pill can make patients feel better, even when they know it's nothing but inert ingredients, according to a new study.

It has been known for decades that patients taking a dummy pill or receiving a fake treatment they believe is real can still show improvement of their symptoms. This placebo effect is strong enough that more than half of doctors admit to prescribing drugs strictly to capitalize on the patients' placebo reaction to taking a pill.

these are probably extreme hypochondriacs and the patients they used to test probably heard the doctor say "placebo" and probably thought the doctor meant some new type of pill to cure whatever they were having...

I believe in placebos, but when you tell someone directly that they aren't taking anything that is going to help them, you have to wonder what types of people they were studying and if these people understood what a placebo means....

I especially liked this part.

Did they charge them 100 dollars for the pill they thought they were getting at the time? or is sugar pills the same rate as a regular pills?

crooks I tell you, playing games with people seeking medical attention, then intentionally lying to them and doing statistics about it shows how scummy those scum suckers are...

tools.

I think it works by the 'action' of taking the pill. The hawaiian shamen have a trick that if you hurt yourself, repeat the action in your head and if possible go back to the situation you were in and replay the action with a pleasant outcome lots of times, I think the minimum is something like ten, then it breaks the neuron link in the brain for remembering that accident. Obviously it doesn't work with all accidents! but try it yourself one day if you stub your toe or something, it works for me. I imagine it would work with bad memories too! Sorry if i'm making no sense! Its a white christmas indoors and out this year!! Lots of jd and COke! Have a great xmas everyone. x
