thanx for the insight.after reading that,i probably would taken cover.maybe because we see shootings every day on our local news.i;m 41 and i've seen 4 shootings in my life.3 random.sad but true.none in over 10 yrs.i've never been abroad and my wife and i wondered the same thing.how the fuck do the police keep the peace without firearms?we figured that that's just the way it it for you...no big deal.which truthfully says something about 'you guys' over there because that shit would never fly over here.i also have more respect for law enforcement over there because they actually give a fuck.they solve problems using other resources than violence.no matter who you are,a gun in your hand is a power some can't handle.

The police in all the major towns and citys have tasers and cs gas. The only cops who have the guns are the motorway police. All of them are the in the armed response units.
