I saw this as well but it appears as if you actually have to give the cop your cell phone. Why on earth would someone do that? Ignorance I suppose as well as the lack of actually teaching the constitution and your rights.

research reasonable expectation of privacy. Locking your computer, or blackberry with encryption software, will not allow access, and is not illegal. A password protected phone is not secure.

Password and encryption is the way to go. At 3min and 35sec. into the vid they're like, hide the phone in your glove compartment or trunk of your car and that kind of pissed me off. Hide my phone? I would rather smash it like Boon said but im absolutely positive that would catch another charge (tampering with evidence or obstruction)
