In a shocking, but not unprecedented, turn of events drivers in Florida will be mandated to allow police to jab a needle in their arm and extract blood at DUI checkpoints should they refuse to submit to breath tests.
At what have been described as “no refusal” checkpoints, judges will be on hand to issue a warrant allowing police to demand blood.

if a cop tried to do that to me I would take it from him and break it, while telling him 'fuck you'. and then i would throw the car in reverse and get outa there. probably wouldn't go too well, but they want to break their own laws and shit all over the constitution, I'm not gonna sit there and suck their dick. we have to draw the line somewhere.

Police depts do not train their officers in nursing. A person has to go to school for 2-3 yrs before they are allowed to take blood in a hospital...and now all of a sudden we are going to allow some doughnut eating pig with no medical training take blood on the side of the road???WTF!!!??? I'm with you megame....some cop tries to stick me with a needle, judge's orders or not, I'll shove it strait up his arse!!!
This has got to be one of the biggest rights violations yet....That lady in the video, Mother's Against Drunk Driving, has no idea what rights are.... O.K., so she wants to save lives....Fine, she can try, but one does not have to trample civil and constitutional rights to do that.

BOISE, Idaho — When police officer Darryll Dowell is on patrol in the southwestern Idaho city of Nampa, he'll pull up at a stoplight and usually start casing the vehicle. Nowadays, his eyes will also focus on the driver's arms, as he tries to search for a plump, bouncy vein.
"I was looking at people's arms and hands, thinking, 'I could draw from that,'" Dowell said
Once they're back on patrol, they will draw blood of any suspected drunk driver who refuses a breath test. They'll use force if they need to, such as getting help from another officer to pin down a suspect and potentially strap them down, Watson said.

Are the cops allowed to do this in any other so called free society ?

So then if they had registered nurses at the check points that would be OK?

No it would not, but at least there would be an RN drawing the blood and not some dumb cop. I was just trying to point out the dangers of an untrained person drawing blood....if it is done wrong, you can kill somebody.
I can smell the law suits already!

if done at all to some people, cops are going to get killed. Seriously, cops start holding people down on the street with a needle over them, and people are going to start fighting back. they aren't just taking away our rights on paper, they are attacking people on the street. And I know that I for one, if I saw that happening, would stop those cops with my big KABAR and help the person they were assaulting.
