The CBS News poll was conducted Jan. 4-8, surveying 1,413 adults, for a margin of error of plus or minus 2.6 percentage points. The poll includes a subsample of 1.247 registered voters.

Maybe I am reading this wrong but it looks to me as if Republicans would rather vote for Obama than to elect any other candidate besides Romney...who seems closer to Obama than the rest anyway.

So maybe it isn't that there is not a choice. Maybe even though people like to complain about the problems they would rather keep things status quo than risk real change.

Course I could be looking at the chart wrong. Have do so before.

I'm looking at that as well and to me, that doesn't make sense. To have a 4% shift to Obama if the candidate isn't Romney or Santorum? I don't buy it.
