and I believe a post-whore is someone: EXAMPLE: joined Jan-2-2010 and has 2054 Posts lol thats around 51 posts a day. THATS a post whore lol!

Imho, there is no 'News' section so the only place to post newsworthy stuff is in a thread. If you've got 1-2 hours out of the day to come on here and share some links, or many links on unrelated subjects, what are you supposed to do? I don't think it's fair to ask someone to 'spread them out' over the course of the day just because other threads are getting buried.
Perhaps for now, the best thing would be to post a 'My Links/News for the day' thread and throw them all in there, no?
