I always have one thought that keeps me grounded in regards to life and death....

If evolution is correct then humans have probably been evolving for 250,000 years at least.

Before that for millions of years humans were small things and before that microbes.

Then i think about a person, 25 years old, walking along a street, the current incarnation of millions of years of evolution.

That person is mugged and killed. Stabed or shot to death in an instant.!

Millions of years of evolution to be brought to a quick mindless end..!
So yes, death is simple but such a shame.

That is why i give everything a chance to live, even an ant..

one of my lifelong friends is literally in his last days of life.
cancer.
i was with him this morning, tert
and believe me i wish it was that easy.
you know what?
that didn't keep me from telling him exactly what you said.
because i love him.

peace

and somewhere, at the bottom of all this, a little gay midget wants you to buy those scathing photos of your loved one with him at toga parties because he thinks somehow as the mistress he's entitled to a piece of the pie, too

he's screwed...my ol' lady already posted them online :D

There are:

hospital bills to be paid
mortuaries to schedule and pay
cemeteries to buy from and pay
headstones to buy
eulogies to write
lawyers & competing copies of Wills
probate court
for many, a "death tax"
fighting family members
credit cards and debts to cancel
the obituary has to be written

Good points, well except the gay midget thingy...........? I'm set up. But yes it costs a lot, actually a lot more than a lot. I'd just prefer to be dumped into the Ottawa river and let the fish debone me

You obviously never been dead before....so stop talking.

Its actually alot more than just that...

Firs you see the Elysium fields where you can stay, but if you go into the tunnel you see a light which leads you to... woops wont spoil it. But anyways its all colorful, vibrant and majestic. And then you die.

So please stop talking about things you know nothing about.

Elysium fields???? You been watching too much Zena and Hercules

dieing is the last thing i'm gonna do.
i live and will confront dieing when i die.it will come like a thief in the night i'm sure, lol.
within all the space between being born and dieing,i will live. :D
i think when i die, living will be on my mind, lol.
and if by chance i lose my resolve,i might drown in the sorrow of thinking about what is inevitable.
life after birth, death after life, birth after death
all for generations i'll never meet.
i'm alive
peace

Epiktetus (greek Stoa philosopher, 1. century):
Men are disturbed not by things, but by the views which they take of them.

Circle of life my friend. The journey would not be complete without an adventure or ten along the way
