Maybe it is all due to conditioning. It is easy to achieve all you have to do is to install a belief system. Throw in some violence in movies and to top it off add some slow acting mind altering chemicals into the water and food supplies. Presto you now have created violence loving zombies that will enact on what they see and believe. What is the benefit? It keeps the zombies too busy and to dumb to see the reality of what is going on.

because thats what the earth is about us preditors and the food, its bred into us kill or be killed and when we live like we are not killers and supress our anger we tend to blow up and do crazy things. and for those who don't we like to watch it to release some of the anger without doing anything to anyone, inclueding helping them at that time .. common sence goes out the window............. emotions suck...

It's like watching Nascar or boxing. If I wanted to watch people speeding in their car, I'd go out to the highway. I want crashes. I don't want to watch two boxers pitty pat for 12 rounds, I want to watch someone get the F'K knocked out.

Human nature to watch the misfortunes of others. We live vicariously this way. Unfortunately

i'm not entirely sure why people get addicted to violence, or being violent, it sure seems to saturate our culture,
one of the reasons i can think of is people think it's all about "enforcing your own will", and "doing what it takes", the truth about power is inductive, meaning: if you KNOW what you want, then people give you their help to do what you want to do, without violence.

Think of the sun: it redirects energy which is sent to it, and so it grows. It doesn't all just burn up at once, it keeps burning bright because it sends out what it has, to where it's supposed to go.

The same way a parent does.

violence is ultimately a waste of energy, i think a great deal of it has to do with being Violated as a child, and then becoming vengeful: being weak and seeking harm for others because they "wronged" you, unable to let go of your hate for that person or thing.

Being in the flow, having strength, internal and external, has more to do with gentleness and patience and the ability to endure pain than violence to be honest.

One of the main problems as far as I see it is people confuse their definitions, or aren't clear about them to begin with.

how can you have a meaningful conversation like this?

Without even knowing what you and the other are talking about.

Absolutley no wrong answers here. i suppose it is relative Iwanci, and the context I'm thinking of is the pure joy of violence, killing, maiming, etc.

The school kid fighting reference was more about one way violence.
