Secular Revisionism IS the basis of the fall of America.

Thank God (no pun intended) that some of us out here aren't buying that whole paradigm.

Read the Foreword, Introduction, and the first few pages of each chapter:

Foreword by Rev. William N. Esborn

1. Congress and the Bible
2. The Northwest Ordinance
3. Indian Treaties and Indian Schools
4. Propagating the Gospel Among the Heathen?
5. Thomas Jefferson and Public Education
6. Did Prayer Save the Constitutional Convention?
7. Treaties with the Barbary States
8. Treaties with Christian Nations
9. James Madison's Detached Memoranda
10. The Election of 1800
11. More Lies About Benjamin Franklin
12. More Lies About Thomas Jefferson
13. Jefferson, Madison, and Blackstone?

About the author: Chris Rodda is someone who never intended to be a writer, but got pissed off enough at the rampant Christian nationalist revisionism of American history that she decided to write a book about it, which somehow led to her "day job" as Senior Research Director for the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. She is also a blogger on the Huffington Post and Talk2Action, writing about historical revisionism, religious issues in the military, and whatever else she feels like writing about.

Secular Revisionism and the Fall of America

“The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.” - George Orwell

Revisionists have rewritten history to reflect a Nation whose founding was pure chance – without purpose or direction other than for economic gain with the ensuing exploitation of resources and native peoples to create greater wealth. Since the 1960s, writers of history textbooks have focused on the economic growth of America; those key events that shaped America’s economic status, and have chosen to neglect almost 400 years of American and Christian history about the New World. They have twisted the true beginnings of this Nation to reflect little more than economic events and alleged financial imperatives. Historical books and documents originally written more than one hundred years ago have been reprinted and updated but have been edited to remove much of the content about God, the Biblical principles from which this Nation was founded, Christianity in society and government, moralities drawn from Biblical lessons and examples, etc. and now have a purely secular humanist slant with a Socialist outcome. But as you will see, rewriting textbooks does not change reality; lying about our history does not change our history!

Let’s compare revisionist history – that our Founding Fathers were Deists, with factual events and the actual words of our Founding Fathers.

Prior to the American Revolution, representatives from the various colonies came together in Carpenter’s Hall in Philadelphia for their first meeting to discuss independence from England. Many did not know each other; most had never met before. They found themselves thrust into a play whose script was yet to be written; one that would forever change their lives and affect the future lives of billions of peoples and nations across the world. Thrust upon them now was the task of deliberating the merits of revolution and freedom or remaining subjects of the king’s and experience continued tyranny under British rule.
As this task merited the full favor and wisdom of Heaven, these eventual signers of the Declaration of Independence sought the assistance of the Almighty; that He might bless and guide their endeavor. They engaged Reverend Jacob Duche’, of Christ’s Church, to offer a prayer. The prayer session and worship service that ensued last almost three hours. Opening the session, the Reverend read the 35th Psalm, and then broke into extemporaneous prayer.

The prayer then offered by Reverend Duche’ went thus:

"O Lord our Heavenly Father, high and mighty King of kings, and Lord of lords, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers on earth and reigns’ with power supreme and uncontrolled over all the Kingdoms, Empires and Governments; look down in mercy, we beseech thee, on these our American States, who have fled to thee from the rod of the oppressor and thrown themselves on Thy gracious protection, desiring to be henceforth dependent only on Thee, to Thee have they appealed for the righteousness of their cause; to Thee do they now look up for that countenance and support, which Thou alone canst give; take them, therefore, Heavenly Father, under Thy nurturing care; give them wisdom in Council and valor in the field; defeat the malicious designs of our cruel adversaries; convince them of the unrighteousness of their Cause and if they persist in their sanguinary purposes, of own unerring justice, sounding in their hearts, constrain them to drop the weapons of war from their unnerved bands in the day of battle!

"Be Thou present, O God of wisdom, and direct the councils of this honorable assembly; enable them to settle things on the best and surest foundation. That the scene of blood may be speedily closed; that order, harmony and peace may be effectually restored, and truth and justice, religion and piety, prevail and flourish amongst The people. Preserve the health of their bodies and vigor of their minds; shower down on them and the millions they here represent, such temporal blessings as Thou seest expedient for them in this world and crown them with everlasting glory in the world to come. All this we ask In the name and through the merits of Jesus Christ, Thy Son and our Savior. "Amen."

The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained.
George Washington, First Inaugural Address, April 30, 1789
