Flash floods and landslides have killed more than 550 people after torrential monsoon rains struck northern India. Helicopters and thousands of soldiers have been deployed to rescue more than 50,000 people from religious sites, almost one week after floods and landslides from torrential monsoon rains struck the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand.
