At TEDIndia, Pranav Mistry demos several tools that help the physical world interact with the world of data -- including a deep look at his SixthSense device and a new, paradigm-shifting paper "laptop." In an onstage Q&A, Mistry says he'll open-source the software behind SixthSense, to open its possibilities to all.

Nulklear War...In Just Weeks. eeeeeee

This whole thing is freckin' awesome. Scientific and technological advancements, such as this, has really and truly begun to exponentially and rapidly move us forward. We are really starting to take off. We would probably be amazed, even being fully cognizant of current trend of super-advancement in practically all realms of human discovery, to look forward- even only ten years- and to see what lies ahead in our future.
In addition to the wonderous simplicity, yet completeness, of interaction that this tech. creates between the physical world and the digital one, the philosophy of this "open source" sharing ideology is an awesome concept. It deserves a shout of tremendous praise unto itself. A far cry from where we are now in the commercial world of grand corporate profit-based companies that basically take advantage of the consumer in any and every way possible. It will be interesting to see how successful he is in this, but he shouldn't have to act alone, for our benefit. He should have our tremendous support. This is just one more reason, and greatly important need for the greedy corporate conglomerate structure to reel in the internet, and to grasp as much control, and potential power, back into their greedy little palms- and bank accounts as possible. I sense some huge power moves and possible "wrestling for control" occurring as this technology, and others, moves forward. We need to be on the right side, and to demand progress and change in this realm as well. A difficult proposition. If we continue to just sit idly by, just propping ourselves on hollow opinions- no matter how "right" and correct they are, those that actually "act" on their ideals, good or bad, will win the struggle. Is it going to be us, or them? That is a question to consider, and to act upon. We need to come together on things like this to demonstrate our true powers of unity of cause. With the internet, and WWW at our disposal, we have the perfect tool- for the time being- to make this happen. We need a new set of leaders- and I don't mean political leaders- that can act as a unifying epicenter of organization. The internet is so much larger than local, state and national governments and their associative politics, and has the potential to give us our own chosen form of NWO. The good kind, that is sans the historical and current corruption of the known and "accepted" global economics and politics. If properly managed, and assembled, we can do great things. We need some great thinkers in this newer realm of potential reality, to create, assemble, and unify some cohesiveness to the whole idea. Just food for thought, but does anyone see where I'm going with this? Or am I just dreaming?
A loud, booming cheer for this guy, and all like him that will help guide us in the "right" direction. To a brighter, more enlightened, and universally gratifying and prosperous future that we might hope for and deserve. All of us.
YES!!!!!!
Cheers to this guy, and all like him who want to include all of us in this step forward- in giving us back, something for nothing- A true example of public domain, and a key concept of "sharing," for the benefit of all. A concept that I hope will grow and grow, as the broken financial, corporate, and in some cases, political cogs of our society re-construct and adapt to our future. Maybe, at this point, we should be the ones leading the way, and the governments should be following- in the back seat. Isn't that the way it was supposed to be??? I don't know about everyone else, but I am so tired of being led by the ear, and cattle-prodded, into the conformity of their agenda. An agenda that has their best interests in mind and in heart- not ours.
Cheers!

Sorry Herbert. Didn't meant to kill your thread, I was just so excited about it that I couldn't contain myself. : > } It's great though, that even though only two of us responded, that you have still managed to get 4 diggs on the thread. Congrats! I will digg it, too.
Cheers!
