It must really be a slap in the face for the people who give through tithing all that money to the church to see it used to pay off lawsuits against these men of the cloth.

Well, Catholics don't tithe, but revenue is down in nearly every diocese. Many are forced into bankruptcy.
I once asked my bishop where a certain priest was currently. The answer, "Well, Carl I'd like to keep that private for now. I don't want him coming under a personal attack or have protesters outside his house or anything like that." My donations stopped that day.

Pedophilia is the umbrella. Homosexuals are a subset of that, and homosexual priests are a further subset of that. Im pretty sure abusers dont discriminate, but homosexual abusers certainly do. And they arent being celibate if they are acting out on children, so that hasnt got shit to do with anything. Its the type of people attracted to the church work that determines the distribution. And since gays for some reason, do flock to churches and seminaries, there is going to be a higher incidence of homosexual abuse.

Im positive there is a price for all of it.

Gays shouldn't be priests! Just like Masons shouldn't be priests either. If they don't like it, they can go start their own stupid religion. But the abuse problem is worse than just gay priests, as I said in another post, most (possibly all) cases of abuse also involved some form of satanic worship, usually defiling the Eucharist directly, the altar or the tabernacle (where the consecrated Eucharist is stored).
