Malachy's Prophecies - The Last 10 Popes
Known to Catholics as St. Malachy (1094-1148)

Born in 1094 A.D. at Armagh, Ireland, Saint Malachy is also known as: Maolmhaodhog ua Morgair; Maol Maedoc; and Malachy O'Morgair. He died as he himself predicted, on November 2, 1148 at Clairvaux, France. Malachy was canonized the first Irish Saint in the Catholic Church by Pope Clement III in 1190 A.D.

The correspondence between the prophecies of Saint Malachy and the Mayan Calendar (whose 'long count' ends in 2012) are alarming, to put it mildly. Why did the ancient Mayan or pre-Maya choose December 21st, 2012 A.D., as the end of their Long Count calendar?

Saint Malachy was a 12th century Irish monk, who, while on a visit to Rome had a vision of all the popes who would ever reign. Malachy "saw"-and committed to paper- a series of Latin phrases describing the popes to come. He catalogued each one with an epigrammatic verse, such as 'the tears of the sun'. Malachy made the prophecy in 1139. Reportedly it was entrusted to Pope Innocent II in 1140. But for some reason it was "lost" in the Vatican for 400 years, only to be "discovered" in 1595 A.D. Malachy s predictions reputedly were made in 1139 while he was on a pilgrimage to the Vatican, where he was appointed papal legate for Ireland. On his last trek to the holy see in Rome, in 1148, Malachy accurately predicted the place and time of his own death: Clairvaux, France, on All Souls Day, November 2, of that same year.......

Most of us, I know I am, are too young to remember, but there were many changes made to the Catholic Churches mass after the second Vatican council and when I first was introduced to the faith, many years ago, it was by a woman who was a former nun. She and many others left the church because they believed it to no longer be valid. I didn't exactly know what that meant at the time, but I have come to understand what she said and why she felt it necessary to leave the church. Because of my personal experience in this, I believe that this article does hold some weight, however...It is also my personal belief that religion is just one facet of the area of control of these powers that be, this new system of things. It was widely accepted among those interested in eschatology that the pope following Benedict would be the last pope. Things all seem to be falling into place....I feel it is all by design.

Yep. I am not even Christian, and this offended me:

Many of the "Old" Catholics still stayed within the communion of the RC church, but amongst sedevacantists and groups like SSPX.

It's for sure an interesting topic. I spoke to the priest of the diocese of the church to which I took RCIA and he quickly dismissed this and called it the new version of an old lie...his exact words. He said that this was a common thought many years ago in church history and called it the Albigensian heresy. To date, I still don't know what to think about this topic fully but you have given me something to research today! :owned: lol Have a QUALITY Tuesday!!!

This one has always intrigued me.

There is a detail to the story from a documentary I once saw, where there is a Rotunda somewhere..St Peters Basilica i THINK...where there is a round Portal Portrait Ring, that runs around the base of the dome in one of these churches, and in each place, is a portrait of a Pope.

If I remember correctly, almost all of the spaces are filled up..
Except one.

Meaning, I presume, that after Ratzinger,
the Catholic Church will have only one more pope left

..and then......>?????

That is the mystery.

The last pope will be called Peter according to Malachy's prophetic views. I find it very interesting how he not so much named the popes in succession, but described them symbolically instead.
Question is, has the Vatican played off this to make it appear he was more than he was? Or was he the real deal? I guess after Benedict, we will know more

I think the use of symbolic/personality descriptions are more validating. If Malachy had used only names, then this "prophecy" could easily have been manipulated, either by popes intentionally using the names or those who intentionally decide not to.

That IS interesting. If it's not the end of the world, it might be the end of the church age, or like religion age, meaning like if UFOs or aliens are exposed. It will be interesting to see what happens. :alien:
