Really pissed......Need Some Help, H1N1!
[quote="concrete"]Anyway. I'm no Dr. J. But, I read somewhere that vitamin 'D' suplimentation may help. It's nothing to do with killing the flu or anything. But, it seems to regulate the bodies immune response to an invader.quote]
hi lucid dont think i have spoke to you as yet i hope all is well,
just to quote i read the same article or similar article to concrete regarding vitamin D last week sometime, but just a quick story...about 5 years ago i went to the docs and he said i should take vitamin D as i had a high liver platlette count if thats how u spell platlette,so i did i went into the chemist and bought vitamin D complex without a problem, but then i stopped taking them as i forgot like you do, but after reading the said article about vit d i told my missus to get me some from the chemist, but apparently it was pretty hard to get hold of, she came back with vit a and d combined tablets they were the only type they had in the shop.so maybe there is something in the take vitamin D story i dont know but im gonna take them from now on anyways.
but also as you are a high up respected member on dtv all the posts regarding the vaccine definately put you off having it,but if you didn't visit these forums it wouldnt be an issue you would have probably just had the tamiflu.they say knowledge is power but when it comes to your kids you definately question your beliefs, that is why i really feel for the situation you were in.having 3 kids myself and only 3weeks ago my 16yr old daughter had a little girl making me a grandad.(arghhhhhhhhhhhh!) we had a couple of moments regarding the flu,and when listening to the people/family around who took the tamiflu it made them feel worse and they stopped taking it as it was in a tablet form not a flu shot.anyway this is the longest reply ever for me as you touched on a hot subject for me so all the best will speak again soon maybe not as much typing next time....

easiiicom,
congrats on your grandbaby! I appreciate what you are saying.........
The only reason I am so concerned about the use of the tamiflu is because when my other daughter that just had the baby filled the prescription the main pharmacist came and talked to us about it.............Bottom line he couldn't contradict the doctor's orders but he said that he wouldn't allow his wife to take it if she was pregnant............Now just a month later the situation arises again with my other daughter!
Oh well............she is much better today so I think she has decided to just save the prescription for now. It is just hard to make a decision when there is so much contradiction!
@lordgaga..............so terrible about that cheerleader.............they say there are always risks with anything like vaccinations.........but oh my............it is so incredibly sad for her to have to suffer such a reaction...............

Captchaos...........I am really worried for you.............And you certainly didn't break into my thread.........that is what it is for...........It seems many people in my area are sick, but none seem to be getting bad fevers............it's like something lowgrade for most, but many I know are reporting hot flashes, bad headaches, throwing up and such.........lots of chest congestion, too............
I hope if your fever gets any higher and you don't get better real quick you go to the ER........I understand the concern about not wanting the rest of your family to be sick as well.
Please do update and let us know how you are doing..
My daughter is doing much better................she went back to her own home tonight and is going to try to go back to work tomorrow..............Why I got so freaked out about this last night is because I just went through something very similar with my other daughter last month (sorry if I am repeating myself, I probably already said that) but it is very conflicting when you don't know what is helpful and what is potentially harmful.......
I wish you the best...............thanks for telling us what is going on with you.......the more we hear first hand accounts the more informed we are............

LOL
If you check the statistics, you will find that you are about 30 times more likely to die in a car accident than from swine flu. The flu injection contains (per volume) 200x more mercury than is considered safe to eat.
Don't believe me: research it yourself...
