Yeah I have my reservations about Overall Christianity as well. as in the form of the Church and Jesus himself. but the God scriptures aren't meant to be taken literally I think. because mostly you have contradictions in the scriputres..

it's called a leaky faucet technique, I think they are trying to tell you something truthful, but then you have the church asking for your dominance and money.

I am far from being a christian,but think of this...

A christian teenage girl is abducted....physically beaten and raped repeatedly....thrown in a trunk of a car.As she lies in the back...she prays to jesus or God to LIVE...her only hope is that some miracle or divine intervention will save her from her situation...she prays that she will prevail ...and maybe she does survive the attack..her faith held true in her mind...it gave her something to cling to....rather than give up and die...it gave her hope.
it got her through a tough time...it got the job done.

I can respect that...
