To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222.
It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.

I think there doing this already, my mobile is on contract from vodaphone and for the last two months now i occasionaly get these telemarketing calls, i got my sisters through virgin mobile but she doesnt get them, i was just complaining about it to her a few weeks ago.
Now i know why theyve sold the damn phone numbers, i hope that number to stop them works for the U.K. thanx Savwafair gonna try that number now

*If you follow the links you end up at a .gov site unfortunatley its a U.S. one so i doubt it will be applicable to the U.K.
