It's all too easy to get caught up in the holiday bustle and forget those who most need to be remembered and cared for: the lonely, the impoverished, the homeless, the disenfranchised, the sick, the grief-stricken, the downtrodden...
As you give thanks for your many blessings, please join us in remembering those who are struggling to survive in a world turned upside down.
This week's vodcast is particularly dedicated to those still struggling to rebuild in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Yes, remember the marginalized sections of our societies year round. We must live for these ppl and put our self needs secondary. Now don't get me wrong, you must provide for yourself and your families. But, we should open up our homes and hearts to develop meaningful relationships with the downtrodden whenever we can.

One never knows when they could become one of the forgotten.
I know the voices in my head aren't real, but man, sometimes they have some really good ideas.

The number of less fortunate is ever increasing, soon enough there will be a clear line between the haves and have nots.... this will be the dawn of new conflicts... as a matter of fact I do believe that many if not most conflicts arise from this very situation... so why then do we continously have new conflicts? I believe it is because society does a good job of balancing the scales, then somehow the scales tip over again and need rebalancing.
The less fortunate have always been here and will always be here, this is one sad reality of our lives. The sad reality is that we often see the 'less fortunate' as an issue on such a scale that we feel unimpowered to have any real impact on. Perhaps its the way the media reports societal issues that makes us feel powerless or makes us feel that we can do nothing that would really help. The truth however is that all we need to do to make a massive impact on the less fortunate is help one or two people who are less fortunate than us or are in need... if every person does this... wow what an impact.
It is not the major acts performed by the few that makes the difference, it is the minor acts performed by the many that makes the greatest impact.

An eye witness account from New York
City , on a cold day in December,
some years ago:
A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before a shoe store on the
roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering
with cold.
A lady approached the young boy and said,
'My, but you're in such deep thought staring in that window!'
'I was asking God to give me a pair of
shoes,'was the boy's reply.
The lady took him by the hand, went into
the store, and asked the clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks
for the boy. She then asked if he could give her a basin of water
and a towel. He quickly brought them to her.
She took the little fellow to the back
part of the store and, removing her gloves, knelt down, washed
his little feet, and dried them with the towel.
By this time, the clerk had returned with
the socks.. Placing a pair upon the boy's feet, she purchased him
a pair of shoes..
She tied up the remaining pairs of socks
and gave them to him.. She patted him on the head and said, 'No
doubt, you will be more comfortable now..'
As she turned to go, the astonished kid
caught her by the hand, and looking up into her face, with tears
in his eyes, asked her......
............ 'Are you God's wife?'

Here in Scotland there is no need for any ta be in poverty ever ,this is a FACT that the sheeps canni get their noggin's around due ta been blinded by such bonnie crap in the shops and on the ole telly that their fkn maggot infested rat sized brains dunni work apon anything but self wealth the greed trips them over for sure into their coffins at the end of the day
FFS Scotlands children should and could all be living as royalty ,being a former homeless bampot myself a few times in the past my early twenties was HELL and I have never ever forgotten the bitter lessons that time taught me about the need ta always help others that are less fortunate no matter what
Some and I mean a few/handful of begger's scam as they go home ta their fully furnished flats with widescreen tellies and game consoles just after scoring some smack/crack/weed/speed/XTC/drink and order fkn take away's while they shower or bath and change into their designer threads ,this be sadly true as I have seen it many atime.
While most that be on the streets where they go I know you and I will nae last very long without the faith and will ta adapt ta a life of misery ,nae wonder most end up OVERDOSED on drugs fueled by drink ,rips my heart ta know that here in Scotland our wealth of our bonnie country is raped down ta Westminster ta fill the pockets of the satanic spongers.

LOUISIANA -- A charity group called "Hunters for the Hungry" donated 1,600 pounds of freshly processed deer meat, called venison, to local homeless shelters across the state.
But no good deed goes unpunished.
The state of Louisiana refuses to allow homeless people to eat venison under any circumstances. Not only that, but the Health Department officials would not even allow the hunters to take their meat back and gladly use it for something else.
Instead, government workers ripped open every package of meat, put them into dumpsters, and poured bleach on all the meat. They claimed that the bleach bath would prevent animals from getting sick from eating the meat.
