What's at stake is more than 1 small country, it is a big idea,
a new world order,
where diverse nations are drawn together in a common cause
to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind

it's long on new and it's short on order

I’m the guy who shot the video, hopefully this doesn’t get burried. You guys have questions, I have answers.

My wife and I went to the voting booths this morning before work. There were 4 older ladies running the show and 3 voting booths that are similar to a science fair project in how they fold up. They had an oval VOTE logo on top center and a cartridge slot on the left that the volunteers used to start your ballot.

I initially selected Obama but Romney was highlighted. I assumed it was being picky so I deselected Romney and tried Obama again, this time more carefully, and still got Romney. Being a software developer, I immediately went into troubleshoot mode. I first thought the calibration was off and tried selecting Jill Stein to actually highlight Obama. Nope. Jill Stein was selected just fine. Next I deselected her and started at the top of Romney’s name and started tapping very closely together to find the ‘active areas’. From the top of Romney’s button down to the bottom of the black checkbox beside Obama’s name was all active for Romney. From the bottom of that same checkbox to the bottom of the Obama button (basically a small white sliver) is what let me choose Obama. Stein’s button was fine. All other buttons worked fine.

I asked the voters on either side of me if they had any problems and they reported they did not. I then called over a volunteer to have a look at it. She him hawed for a bit then calmly said “It’s nothing to worry about, everything will be OK.” and went back to what she was doing. I then recorded this video.

EDIT: There is a lot of speculation that the footage is edited. I’m not a video guy, but if it’s possible to prove whether a video has been altered or not, I will GLADLY provide the raw footage to anyone who is willing to do so. The jumping frames are a result of the shitty camera app on my Android phone, nothing more.

Turns out this is in Pennsylvania.
This glitch is even more chilling when you consider the fact that Pennsylvania's governor, Republican Tom Corbett, told attendees at a Mitt Romney rally on Sunday that he was confident the state's electoral votes would go to Governor Romney, despite the fact that Obama's got a relatively safe lead in most state polls.

Actually, there are some polls that agree with the Governor. So, he isn't pulling it out of his ass as bad as you wish he was.

You don't know me. Don't try to cram me into your perceived little box of "naive Obama voters." I'm just posting information I've found around the web.

They've now taken that machine out of service.
Earlier today, a Pennsylvania voter posted video of a voting machine marking a vote for Mitt Romney when the voter pressed the appropriate location on the screen to vote for President Obama. The machine has now been taken out of service.

Hopefully this was just an isolated incident.

If the machines pick Romney by default that will make it even easier when I my wife and daughter all go to vote at 6pm today....for Romney of course. If he wins, tomorrow I will buy a new refrigerator, freezer, about $500 in groceries, and that TIG welder and plasma cutter I've been looking at and yet another 1000 rounds of 12 gauge slugs. And, I'll probably start putting money in my 401K again. On the flip side if Romney loses, I'll just buy the 1000 rounds of 12 gauge slugs and keep stacking food and silver.

ello, ello? What's this? Turns out there is a new Ip rule that says you can't log in with the same username from more than one IP address. This directly effects me bc I like to log on both from home AND from work (I was able to log on from my phone though). That would explain my sudden lack of posting

But now, on to more important matters. The thing with Romney voters is this (at least in my experience). There are a few different groups of people that are voting for Romney. Those that hate Obama so much they'd vote for a ham sandwich over him, the rich folks that have no compassion for those less fortunate, and those that have been brainwashed by the media into thinking Obama is a Muslim satanist Kenyan whatever.... And then there are people tht are genuinely displeased with the Obama administration and rather than voting for a third party candidate that matches their beliefs (and essentially throwing their vote away, sadly), they settle in Romney. This explains the idiots in the video, in my opinion.

I just have a really hard time seeing any kind of anything that is actually likeable about Romney.

But I'm democratic. There are idiots voting for Obama for the wrong reasons too.

I made a status on facebook a year or more ago saying, "Let's face it. You don't even know why you voted for Obama".

No one could give me an answer.

They just look at the titles. Republican or Democrat.

Obama let Congress take the money from the poor (in taxes) and give it to the rich (bankers).

Bank bailout was enacted October 3, 2008 and signed into law by George W. Bush.
