Ron Paul Warns Of Coming "Social And Political Chaos"
Congressman delivers timely State Of The Republic address

Texas Congressman Ron Paul has delivered a riveting "State of The Republic" address on his Campaign for Liberty website, orating his thoughts on where the U.S. stands as a nation and what the future holds.

Paul warns that if the country continues along the course it is on, we will witness a three stage slide into social and political chaos, beginning with the current financial crisis, a coming dollar crisis, and culminating in mass unrest.

"Reality is setting in," the Congressman urges, adding that the only way to prevent social breakdown is to embrace liberty and self reliance and reject the nanny state and government dependency.

"We are rapidly moving toward a dangerous time in our history. Society as we know it is vulnerable to political and social unrest. This impending crisis comes as a consequence of our flawed foreign and domestic economic policies, a silly notion of money, ignorance about central banking, ignoring the onerous power and mischief of out of control intelligence agencies, our unsustainable welfare state and a willingness to sacrifice privacy and civil liberties in an attempt to achieve safety and security from an inept government."

"Dangerous times indeed." The Congressman states, stressing that a street fight to restore liberty is not a good option.

"The only way that we can prevent blood from running in the streets is to offer a better idea of the proper role of government in a society that desires, first and foremost, liberty."

"The social unrest will illicit cries for the government to exert unusual force to head off a complete breakdown of law and order. The ultimate trap will be set for a system of government claiming to protect a free society." Paul states.

"If more power and police authority are not given to the Federal government, it will be argued that only anarchy will result. If more government policing power is given, it will mean a lethal threat to civil liberties."

The Congressman also warns that it is naive to assume that the American people will not be the eventual target of draconian laws and restrictions already introduced in the wake of 9/11.

"Our civil leaders will not be hesitant to use these powers to maintain order, tragically, the people may even demand it." he says

The Congressman elegantly lays out the intricacies of the financial crisis and its history, specifically pointing the finger of blame at the Fed and in particular Ben Bernanke, referring to the crisis as Bernanke's "very risky experiment with the health of our country and the wealth of our economy."

"The worldwide financial system built on a foundation of paper has received the shockwaves of an impending collapse. The wild speculation in the derivatives market, the stock market bubble, the insurmountable debt, public and private, and the massive malinvestments have been shattered."

Paul points out that doubling the money supply can hardly be a solution to a problem stemming from the creation of excess credit.

"It wouldn't make much sense for a doctor taking care of a very sick patient from severe infection, to deliberately give the patient another infection - yet that is what the PhD doctors are doing to our very sick economy."

"The only solution so far offered has been to print more money faster, keep interest rates low, at practically 0%, and remove all stops for controlling deficits. These are the very policies that caused the disequalibrium, and doing more of the same, but only faster, can hardly help our economy." Paul comments.

"When it is revealed that the insider friends of the Fed and Congress get billions of dollars in bailout at the expense of the middle class, it's no wonder the people are taking to the streets and directing their hostilities towards both Republicans and Democrats in Washington."

This information coupled with what Illuminated posted about the CIA running everything is putting Ron Paul in the light again.

It's too bad he didn't get a shot at the election, he seems pretty spot on.

I worry for his safety though. The last prominent person to suggest the demolition of the CIA was JFK.

I have to say I have always been impressed with that man. He always seems to be a voice of reason during very difficult times. It would be great if he could get his voice heard in a more powerful way.

Thanks for the post!

I've been a Ron Paul fan for a long time. He very well could have won the election if he had only been allowed to participate in the presidential debates. He would have mopped the floor with McCain and Obama both!

He's right...there will be major turmoil, the people of this nation are getting closer and closer to the breaking point. Unless something significant changes our current course, the U.S.A. may very well fall flat on its face, leaving the survivors to fight against the vultures of the world.
Take it easy...and if its easy...take it twice!!

World Agenda: Unrest in Iceland, Latvia and Bulgaria are a sign of things to come

January 21, 2010. TIMES ONLINE

Our third global political column explores the start of an age of rebellion over the financial crisis - beginning in Iceland.

Icelanders all but stormed their Parliament last night. It was the first session of the chamber after what might appear to be an unusually long Christmas break.

Ordinary islanders were determined to vent their fury at the way that the political class had allowed the country to slip towards bankruptcy. The building was splattered with paint and yogurt, the crowd yelled and banged pans, fired rockets at the windows and lit a bonfire in front of the main door. Riot police moved in.

Now in the grand sweep of the current crisis, a riot on a piece of volcanic rock in the north Atlantic may not seem to add up to much. But it is a sign of things to come: a new age of rebellion.

The financial meltdown has become part of the real economy and is now beginning to shape real politics. More and more citizens on the edge of the global crisis are taking to the streets. Bulgaria has been gripped this month by its worst riots since 1997 when street power helped to topple a Socialist government. Now Socialists are at the helm again and are having to fend off popular protests about government incompetence and corruption.

In Latvia – where growth has been in double-digit figures for years – anger is bubbling over at official mismanagement. GDP is expected to contract by 5 per cent this year; salaries will be cut; unemployment will rise. Last week, in a country where demonstrators usually just sing and then go home, 10,000 people besieged parliament.

Iceland, Bulgaria, Latvia: these are not natural protest cultures. Something is going amiss

rest & VID OF RIOT/PROTEST

I live in central Kentucky...things are getting pretty hot here as well. Our governor, Besear just released his economic plan for the next two years. His plan is dependent on slot machine gambling revenue, however slot machines have not yet been approved by state legislators. Slot machines are currently illegal and there is heavy opposition against their approval. At this point it doesn't look like they will be approved. BTW...Ky does allow gambling on horse racing....go figure.....
Besear came out last week and told Kentucky residents that the state must raise 3 Billion dollars in revenue over the next two years to prevent any state wide cuts and more or less break even.
If the plan does not work, public services will be cut by 17% in 2011, and an additional 34% in 2012. This means that if Ky does not met our goal of 3 Billion by 2012, ALL state services will be cut by over 50%! That includes, police, fire, food stamps, housing assistance, public schools, roads and many other social services such as those intended to aid the handicapped and elderly. All this was confirmed by my economics professor in class last Thursday.
So....whats gonna happen when your house is on fire, you call the fire dept...and they don't come??? What happens when I go to send my children to school and the school has shut its doors for lack of funding?? Whats gonna happen to my college career that depends on state and federal loans & grants??
Very trying times to say the least...I think we are all in for a rough ride! Better prepare while you still can! Guess I better start stocking up on ammo
Take it easy...and if its easy...take it twice!!

What happens when you call someone and there is no dial tone? Screw centralisation across the planet. I like the US and right to bear arms, fuck with me and fuck with my little friend. If anyone needs to you can always make a makeshift weapon with some pvc tube and a can of lighter gas, might not be a hard hit but a 8 ball launched at you going fast will slow u down.
