Russia's space chief said Wednesday his agency will consider sending a spacecraft to a large asteroid to knock it off its path and prevent a possible collision with Earth.

This is a prediction, call it fiction if it doesn't happen...

NASA sucks ( No conspiracy there)

Russia realizes the threat of the near earth object and thinks it might hit the planet, so they are sending something over to the asteroid to ensure that it truly doesn't hit us.

NASA is saying there is no threat "NOW", come further down the line (if Russia doesn't do the mission) NASA will then say "OMG we have an asteroid coming towards EARTH and now we need 1 Billion dollars to hopefully maybe possibly get rid of the threat"

this is potentially another ploy by NASA to discredit the Russian space administration to the point where they won't want to do it, then later NASA will do it and seem like the heroes again.

they did it with the moon landing
they did it with finding water on the moon when the Indians found it first with unquestionable data.
and now they will do it with a Asteroid threat..

Pathetic....

lets see how the JETXVIIradamus prophecy goes... i'll check back on this post in about 15 years.
