Liberals want the government to hold their hand and take care of them and tell them what to do, what to eat, when to go to bed, what games to play and even how to talk.

Conservatives reserve the right to make up their own mind. They stand on their own feet. They don't like being told what to eat, when to go to the doctor, or how we should speak.

As to President Regan's administration:
He set himself up for success! He chose his people wisely, knowing that he could trust them to do what was right. People that could make up their own minds, and do their jobs they were chosen for without having their hands held.
