Came back on to this thread to see if there was any update on the fluoridation issue, can only seem to find pages of bickering

Any news? The supposed meeting took place on the 3rd of September, unfortunately i was on holiday so if anyone knows theoutcome of that meeting could they let me know?

I managed to get a few more people to e-mail Alex Salmond, i personally did not receive a response.

BTW i have received 2 Letters from the scottish parliament regarding the CHEMTRAIL activity witnessed of late, i cant get my scanner to work with Vista though so will be a wee while till i can get them uploaded :bang;

Dear Mr Falconer,

Thank you for your letter about fluoridating the public water supply in Scotland. It has been passed to me to reply.

The position in Scotland is that there are currently no plans to fluoridate the public water supply. The majority of people that responded to a 2002 consultation document on improving children’s oral health were against the idea. Instead the Scottish Government committed to improving oral health, particularly in children and widening access to NHS dentistry.

It may be that your concerns about fluoridation of public water supplies have been raised by the recent commencement of some of the remaining provisions in England under the Water Act 2003. This could theoretically enable the possibility of importation of fluoridated water from England to Scotland.

However, there are no water distribution systems which span the Scotland-England border and no plans to build any, so this possibility remains purely theoretical.

I would add that before any fluoridation of water supplies would be able to take place a full public consultation would require to be undertaken. The decision to consult with the public on the subject of adding fluoride to public water supplies lies entirely with local NHS Health Boards. The Water ( Fluoridation) Act 1985 places the onus on Health Boards, based on these local consultations, and full support of the general public, to apply to Scottish Water if they wish to introduce a fluoridation scheme. Scottish Water is in no way included in the decision-making process.

I too got no reply from Alex Salmond but it is great you got a few others to stand up against this possible future scenario where they will medicate our pretty decent scottish water. :flop:
