I'm a tad frustrated, because this phenomenon's been covered a lot in previous topics, with good information given by both sides.

The "traveling" ones may be because, in order to keep the image stationary to get a video of it, they had to move the images they received from the satellite. This could cause defects in the image sensor/lens to appear to move.

First off, your last image is Venus. Second...are we really back to this? I've saved the images in question. In a few days, when the real data comes in from NASA (NOT this compressed mumbo-jumbo), you'll see that they are high energy particles striking the sensor, only appearing to be large objects.

This telescope has no real correlation to the church.
Its only link is that it's on the same mountain (space is presumably given to various, separate, organizations) as the Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope.
