I know what's up with this plant! The leaf is shaped aerodynamically (I.E. an airfoil/wing). As the wind catches it from the side, it will pivot on its stalk until it is no longer producing lift, or twist since it is sideways, and stalls back to its original position. This would create the crazy osc...
