Seen that before... on DTV :lol:

The focus in this one is more on the geography and history of the garden of Eden.
I'm more interested in the message behind it all, not in the actual place itself.

I'd say both documentaries are on a very different "level".

Nice doc though the topic title is a little misleading and I don't agree on some points like for instance 'Eve was made of a rib from Adam', it's more like 'the male came forth of the female'.
And there are three trees, not two. The tree in the middle is the path of balance that leads to awakening of the kundalini. But these are only words, one could say we are a tree, and that can be experienced by entering the symbols, that leads to direct knowledge inside yourself)

The topic title is indeed a little misleading, but that's what the documentary is called.

I tend to disagree with the "Eve was made of a rib from Adam" premise as well, but it's what's written in the Bible and who am I to claim the Bible is wrong ?
The Bible is what it is : a great volume of moral stories. One is free to explore the meaning behind them and use whatever knowledge or veiled "truth" rings a bell at a certain stage in one's life.
But from a biological point of view, I agree it seems more likely that man evolved from the female. A simple look at the sex-determining chromosomes might acknowledge that.
In the female genotype you have the XX sex-chromosomes, while in the male genotype there's XY.
It seems plausible to me that throughout evolution, the second X sex-chromosome "lost a leg", turning it to a Y (the other way around would be more complex, I think).
It's an oversimplification of course, but at this time I won't go any deeper on that (I have a background in (molecular) biology and biotechnology and like any other scientific discipline : the deeper you delve, the more the amazement grows... until it becomes so complex, you no longer can wrap your head around all of it. That may be the reason why I never completed my masters degree

Would you mind telling more about the three trees (or provide some links) ?
It's the first time I hear about this and I'm quite intruiged.
I'm still struggling to fully grasp the meaning of the two trees (life and knowledge), so now it gets even more complicated :wink:

Well, some people made a deal with the Romans, part of the deal was to murder the Essene and to remove or distort every hint that could lead to the feminine principle in the bible.
When you read older scriptures around the world you can see that this happened.
It was not the birth of the patriarchy, this had been going on for some time (in the later Egyptian dynasties)

I could write for the rest of my life on this, but that would be a waist of energy, modern language has no power and what counts is the own experience.
If there were only two trees, how could you then walk in the middle?
The creating principle (for this world) is one that becomes two.
The universal intelligence (God), woman/man (the son), the Self (holy spirit)
Man, woman, androgyn
Breath in, breath out, the silence (where) they meet.
You may want to control sexual energy, you may be controlled by sexual energy, you mastered sexual energy.
So it is three, a triangle.
There are four directions / elements / dragons, another important 'number'.
Multiplied you get for instance the 12 signs of the zodiac ( 3 signs for every element, so three 'levels' in one element)
Added you get for instance the seven chakra's or the seven notes? of an octave. The 8th note is the end of one octave and the beginning of the next. This 8th is the shock, meaning there is no gradual grow, every cycle ends with chaos / shock.
You can see this also in cell splitting? (when the egg is fertillized) The cell splitting goes on for seven steps, then there is a movement inwards (to attain direction) then the splitting / growing continues and breaks out of the border /diameter of the egg.

When you take a deeper look at this you will find it to be more simple then the stuff we have today.

So there are three trees, different trees.
Though all is connected mankind is closer connected to trees then tho other beings.
Natives call trees the standing people, cause that's what they are, their 'spine' is just like ours upwards. So when you look at this trees you see what you are and what you can become again, unwinding yourself.

In Egypt the Nile stands for (though the flow has changed) the spine, the pyramids in the north for the glands in the head, the temples along the Nile for the chakra's.
In Komombo is the temple for the second chakra, you will find crocodiles here.

The second chakra is about sexuality and safety, easy to understand that when you keep people in fear they will never / ever grow to individuation.

A little warning : Just as enlightenment strikes you like a bold of lightning burning downwards, so will awakening of the Kundalini be as the flow of lava upwards.
Don't try to force either of these with your (ego)will.

This is probably the first time someone congratulates me on not finishing my education :lol:

The typical reaction would be something like a surprised, questioning look, followed by a "but why ?" and then me, having to explain how I didn't end up in the gutter without this piece of paper that states that I'm able to memorise and reproduce a lot of facts and details about the world of bio(techno)logy, called an education...

I'm still processing what you've written, so I'll (try to) reply on that later, but there seems to be a lot of Castaneda involved in your thinking (the tonal/nagual, the four directions, the mastery of will and intent,...) or do you have sources that precede the knowledge Castaneda has written down ?
