should nasa be scrapped

could the money spent on nasa be put to better use
about 30 years going to mars to confirm water
a few men on the moon a few soil samples
as nasa done anything good for the human race
nasa is paid for by the public
should this money goto public health care

Im sure there is a lot more going on with NASA than Mars sample...I watched a lecture the other day about Monatomic Gold, kindly linked by Ratty..and the chap was saying how Nasa were developing warp drives..and being able theoretically to bend time and space.

i beleive the way things are in the us there will be a lot of people
who cant afford health insurance and a lot of people will probably die
any breakthroughs nasa makes wont help those people anything that the millitery can use the people wont see it
the people will need help this year not 20 years down the line
the scientist would be better put to work on developing free or cheap energy
