I'll have to get myself some technical training!

Don't want to highjack this thread but i didn't want to start a new one just for the following.
At exactly 6:20am this morning whilst driving home from work i noticed something moving in the corner of my eye.
When i looked round i couldn't believe it. It was a meteor burning through the atmosphere.
Big deal you might say but this was a big one. It was large in the sky and didn't just fizzle out in a second. I watched it for about 8 seconds before i lost sight of it and nearly crashed the car.
It was parallel to me and i was driving in a Northeast to Southwest direction.
All i could think of was that i would shortly see a large flash and that would be it.
It was a heart racing moment.
That sucker must have landed somewhere.?

Where were you? ie:country/state etc. I see no notification of a meteor coming in. As of yet that is.

Hi shaggie.
I am in the UK. Practically the centre of England in a town called Corby.
The meteor was travelling almost North to South heading towards Oxford direction.
( at least as far as i could tell from my car. )
I opened the car window to try and hear it but all i could hear was the car and wind.

Hello richc.
Nice to meet you. I will say that this web sight. http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/index2.php?lang= post a lot of "whats happened" info. It had posted the meteor that came by close to me. Chicago / east United states. I see no notification of a meteor in your area. This does not mean it was not there. Perhaps it was something else? Keep askin around maybe someone knows what it was.
