Strap in, this will fuck with your heads.

So we experience our present in terms of our understanding of our past. We perceive our constant in terms of its relation to what has come before, and we use this mechanism in order to gain understanding and possible knowledge to guide our future.

However...

The mechanism with which we use to do this is flawed, in terms of our present and capacity to recall improperly. It is also prone to manipulation through various means. This mechanism is your mind.

Quantum physics tells us that everything that is possible happens, and that just because we experience through our mind a constant stream of uninterrupted experience that forms a constant reality with which we "perceive" to move through, that is not indeed the case, for every action you take, the direct opposite happens, and the opposite of that and so and so forth. So what you are left with is a random and chaotic stream of possibilities that all happen at the same time, and we perceive just one of these in any given moment, kind of like a collage of random pictures stacked up on one another. That becomes our reality. However the offshoots that we do not carry over in memory and perceive may indeed be alternate reality's of every single possible outcome and scenario imaginable. Yet we still experience them, but we do not remember.

This is no fantasy, this is quantum physics.

Now for the really trippy part. You may not be what you remembered yesterday, you see if you are indeed travelling through a random collage of chaotic possible scenarios, then so to is your memory, and this is where the water becomes muddy, because theoretically you should have the memory of all experiences if indeed we do experience them all as a single conciousness as quantum physics tells us, because if you do not, you are nothing more than a snapshot remembering itself.

What we go on is memory, and if this can be distorted to give us the impression of a constant, then it is being manipulated through experience and we are in turn selectively editing our own experience to suit our present regardless of our past, to try and select a future.

I know it does not make sense.

Example:

Yesterday you pinned a note on the fridge to remind you of getting some milk.

In one experience you read the note and got the milk.

In another you did not.

In another you never even wrote the note.

You experience all three, but only carry one over into memory to form a constant. Yet all three happened and are as real as each other, and you experienced all of them. However as a conciousness you only need one to form a constant. Yet they all bleed into one, perceived reality. To form the reality that each particular snapshot of you needs/takes.

Now this would funnily enough lead you on a path that makes it easier to pick the next, therefore making sense out of chaos. Do you follow ?.

The funny thing is, this leads into the whole question of destiny, and the obvious questions that arise, such as, is our path predetermined ?. Not in terms of god, but in terms of, our choosing, is anything we actually do in the present even relevant, seeing as our past and present govern the outcome of our future. Meaning that simply by arriving at this present, makes a certain outcome inevitable anyway. Well that is one way of thinking of it. The other would be that we skip at random to whichever outcome we end at. Meaning that there is no real shape to it, but we flitter in and out of every outcome simultaneously at random, biting at the one that hits the current present.

The other would be that both are right, remember, everything that is possible, happens.

Right now you are reading this but at the same time doing everything else that is actually possible in the nature of reality. I am writing this but at the same time, I am not, you are.

So when my mother-in-law was around my house the other day, with her short-cup top on showing off her big tits, I could have actually acted out my instinct of diving head first into them?

I like this kind of physics.

Actually, yes, that happened, and right now you are also experiencing the fallout of such a decision, at the same time as reading this. Wrap your mind around that. :flop:

That definitely is a mind fuck.

So, if I understand this correctly, our minds act like traffic lights, directing where the traffic goes; thus creating our reality?

That's very true...but at the same time your father-in-law was walking around the house with a short-cut top on showing off his big tits, which you actually acted out and dove head first into them....I would try not to remember that form of reality, the mother-in-law sounds much better.

That would be a bit difficult because he is dead. But yes, the mother-in-law is much more aesthetically pleasing. That said, according to this theory, he could still be alive; and he caught me at it with his misses.
