SOLAR ERUPTION: Magnetic fields

SOLAR ERUPTION: Magnetic fields around the corpse of old sunspot 1045 erupted this morning, March 10th, at 0745 UT. SOHO's extreme ultraviolet telescope recorded the action, which you can see by clicking on the image below:

The eruption did not produce a lot of X-rays (the corresponding flare registered only B1), but it did hurl a billion-ton coronal mass ejection (CME) into space. The cloud is not aimed directly at Earth, but it could deliver a glancing blow to our planet's magnetic field on or about March 13th. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras around that date. http://spaceweather.com/

WOW what the hell, they actually issued a doom warning for that? that is crazy...

Those storms look huge how could they cancel an order like that, I will be keeping my eye out for earthquakes now. there is probably a connection with the earthquakes and sun Activity (along with techtonics, but maybe techtonics needs the sun?), which could explain also the Haiti earthquake and our response knowing before hand, maybe scientist already knew the implications of the sun and earthquakes...

I don't know but that is something to be concerned about definitely, even if nothing happens that is a dangerous looking playing field.

idk if it im alone in feeling this but it seems the sun is becoming very active very fast i mean just a few months ago it was completely quiet with nothing at all and now!!!!!

That is so true.. I have been watching it since july 2009 and the activity has increase a lot in the last month
