Sorry, I am not a heartles man, but why don't these kind of stories move me? I don't really see the big deal... the dog hasn't 'adopted' the chimp, the dog is reacting to the chimp just as would likely react to any other being that treated it as the chimp has treated it...
It's really cute and nice to see these things take place around us, I am one that says's awww how cute.. but 'unconditional love'?

1/ the dog will get sick of the chimp and bite it
2/ the chimp will get sick of the dog and rip it to shreds as it gets bigger...
Let's test the 'unconditional love' theory at that point shall we?
