1/31/2012 -- Earthquake Northwest of Chicago -- in ADDITION to the nuclear power plant issue

by dutchsinse on Jan 31, 2012

SOMETHING is going on in North Illinois --- Northwest of Chicago --- first , yesterday (Jan 30, 2012)... the Nuclear power plant northwest of Chicago experienced an event -- the reactor suddenly lost power -- and vented RADIOACTIVE STEAM into the air -- which blew down into Chicago .

Move forward 12 hours --- and now we see an EARTHQUAKE also happen to the northwest of Chicago.

My mom just asked everyone on facebook if they felt it.
I didn't feel anything. I went to http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/index2.php?area=usa
And it shows Wisconsin had the earthquake.
She said people here felt it and heard a loud boom.

People in McHenry felt it. That's way north.
I'm in Elgin, you see it on the map. That nuclear town is so far west it don't even show it on the map.
I don't think there's anything to worry about.
I'm just pissed I missed out on another earthquake. Never felt one.

I experienced a 5.2 here a year and a half ago. Moderate...apparently, but buildings shook and sidewalks buckled up and down. It scared the living bejesus out of me. I couldn't imagine a quake in the 7 or 8 range

The word around here is there was a 2.5 just south of Kenosha Wi The Chicago tribune seems to agree.

KENOSHA, Wis.—
A minor earthquake rumbled through southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

Seismologists with the U.S. Geological Survey say the 2.4 magnitude quake happened just before 10 p.m. Monday and was centered about 30 miles from Kenosha, just east of McHenry, Ill.

WTMJ-AM reports (http://bit.ly/y0tUun ) several police departments in the area got calls from people who felt the quake. But no one reported any damage or injuries.
