Something' lowered itself down out of cloud

A California witness reports noticing a cloud with "ripples" where a "bump" suddenly formed and "this thing started to lower down out of the cloud," according to May 6, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness immediately grabbed a camera and took three images.

"The thing in the cloud looked as if it lowered itself down out of the cloud to release some type of gas or something else out of the end of whatever it was in the cloud," the witness stated. "Then it slowly went back up into the cloud. The same way it showed up. I showed the pictures to friends and they told me to give the pictures to the right people."
No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report, which was filed on May 6, 2011. The event occurred on April 24, 2011. The above quotes were edited for clarity.

California is a current UFO ALERT 3 rating, with a high number of UFO sightings nationally. California had 46 UFO reports in April 2011 - the highest reporting state in the nation.

I have no clue what that would be, the only thing i could guess is what they call an IceFall..sometimes they cause the big holes in clouds when crystals fall through it, but that doesnt look like any ive seen.

Hi Acee22,

Yea, this is kind of unusual. I have never seen anything like it. If it is a natural phenomena I am sure some weather man can name it. Till then, I ran a quick gif on it to view the massive amount of color in the picture. It looks like one of those colored sand projects. If there is something in the tip of the vortex, I am unable to pick it out. :cheers:

hey, i was being sarcastic.....
nothing up my ass, thank you. and i don't kick any innocent people around, either. i admit to being rough around the edges, but i've never "gone off" on somebody for no reason.
i've picked a few fights, sure. and believe me when i say this, EVERYTIME i did i was right. feel free to check with slith or marduk or dom about it. to me, creating clones for pushing your own thread means you are here with an ulterior motive, and that stinks.
