Yea, very unfortunate about his son though. However, I disagree with Dr. Spock, where I think he sort of lead the "spare the rod, spoil the child" revolution. Although I agree, discipline can get out of control, too little, or not the right kind, is equally as damaging.

Some kids just need a good old fashioned ass-whoop'n every once in a while to help remind them they are not in charge and there are consequences to their not-so-well thought out ego-driven outbursts. I'm talking once they are in their teens or course.
