So, after repeated requests and inquiries about the photo above, I finally get an answer.
"No such image exists..."

For the record, the image can be found online still...

Wow thats impressive! whatever it is,it's producing a lot of static electricity and doesn't appear to be a camera glitch especially when you look at it in your link.Never A Straight Answer.Great work will :flop:

Just a bump for a good thread and all the hours Will has spent hunchbacked with a monocle going over every detail.

Dont tell him about the new infinite resolution cameras.

Although the explanation given refers to lightning shaped images found on a few of the metric images,
the image above is from a Panoramic image and doesn't look anything like lightning. That being said, at
least it's an explanation I can live with because I found the same area in another picture and no such anomaly is found.
Still, why wouldn't the NASA representative simply say that instead of telling me the image doesn't exist?

Anyways, thanks Spaceyman...
(By the way, did you get that name from the movie "The Right Stuff "?)

This one from the Space Shuttle Endeavour caught my eye (while hunched over with a monocle :alien51: ).

Too bad he didn't turn around...
