Star Wars is in every way, far superior to Star Trek

the convention riot of 84(or was it 85?) in LA is why there has never been that kind of convention again.
there is either a star wars con or star trek con, but not both at the same time.

I like the comic-con and would like to go but I have no idea what most of the stuff is there,I'm an old man,I don't care what a spongebob is,or any of the other crap. I like to see them nerds enjoy themselves so I follow it online every year, that's good enough for me.

I vote for Firefly.

Star wars for its lore was much better.
Star trek for its actors (Patrick Stewart, Nemoy, Takei, Shatner).
Tie between Sith and Borg(do you the favor of ignoring the klingons).
Star wars had better fights(phasers, are you kidding me, excluding all of Shatner's awesome action parts).
Star trek's storyline was better.
I liked all the Star Wars and all the Star Trek movies.

Winner goes to Battlefield Earth

I remember queueing around the block with dad to watch the Star Wars movie when it came out (1977 I think) and was was totally blown away by it. Up to then the only science fiction I had seen was Doctor Who and Star Trek (repeats) on the BBC. I liked the interaction of the characters in the original Star Trek and TNG - plenty of humour (The Trouble With Tribbles for instance). But I didn't care for Voyager, DS9 or Enterprise, for some reason the characters didn't gel for me.

Whether Star Wars is better than Star Trek, it depends on what mood I'm in. (But neither beat the old Doctor Who series!)

Whilst I like both - my favourite has to be the old Dr.Who series from the sixities and seventies, William Hartnall as the Dr, or even Sean Pertwee did it for me.

and the Daleks!! awesome! (though, simply run up stairs and they were fucked!.........)

I read somewhere that Star-Trek drew a lot of it's creation from the film 'Forbidden Planet' as did Star Wars apparantly.

Recently, the best around, were Red Dwarf and Firefly (IMAO).
