"I took some flowers today and placed them on my fathers grave.

I talked with him. A one way conversion of course!

That's when I realised he was just another person who had passed on.

His voice was still and I heard nothing, I'm filled with remorse.

I should have heard, I know it was wrong.

A name upon stone, a forgotten life.

All that he dreamed and hoped, I stand here now.

Just another man in the ground, hopefully with the Christ.

Another forgotten life.

The world has so many, so many gone before.

Did each make a better world?

Did each hope we could be more?

All I could do, was place flowers and remember how I was held.

So many still voices, so many forgotten lives.

Except by love."

Nice post.

Made me think of the importance of learning about reincarnation. So we can build upon these small lives.

Wonderful post, great writing and thoughts.

It's not a forgotten life though. If it was, this thread wouldn't have been made.

We don't forget loved ones, we remember them

Prost!

It's not about getting there, it's what you get out of the journey

Thanks Chillitiger :flop:

I had a bit of a sad day and as usual I resorted to poetry, Funny that you mentioned reincarnation, I've been looking at that very subject lately. Will post my thoughts when I can get them down on paper!

Am a lot happier today - and sober! :o

I think it was the Ancient Egyptians that said: "if your name is remembered, then you never died."

or something similar.

I supose it could be updated to: "If your still loved, then you never died."

You know you are in a strange mood when you talk about yourself in third person.
