STRANGE BLACK UFO PLANET IN FRONT OF THE SUN AFTER SOLAR MASS EJECTION JANUARY 2012 TIME LAPSE HD

On January 23, 2012 at about 04:00 UTC, the Sun unleashed a powerful flare and coronal mass ejection - huge explosions that drive hundreds of millions of tons of subatomic particles at fantastic speeds. On the next morning has the sun a large black spot, it looks like a UFO planet.

If that has not been doctored then that is an amazing video of the son.
The problem is the black part means that point has cooled down.
But to be able to see it with a camera means a massive fall in temp.
I find that hard to believe.
And to be honest I dont think it is possible for this to happen.

That was weird ,it followed the sun so I can only assume it is part of some process.
But as to what it is,
I am baffled.

Might as well be a UFO, a plant or a black hole or a star gate, as there is no logical explanation that I can think off for this phenomena.

It would be nice to hear from a video expert on this.
Or perhaps an expert on solar mechanic would be really helpful.
I am aware it's often a thankless task persuading someone on a forum that they are mistaken. They are often, in the true sense of the word, bigots!

I wonder if it has anything to do the camera's iso settings? Seeing as where it sits would be the brightest point from the sun, so perhaps a camera anomaly? Strange though. If it had of turned up on many other videos I'd say it's something else but seeing it's time lapse, it was most likely there for hours and nobody else to my knowledge reported it.

yes very good that is most likely the answer.
Nice bit of reasoning rich316 :flop:

So 2 different cameras from the same region showing the same thing?

Its a photography glitsch, also known as the black sun effect caused by a sensor problem with the camera

Now that I'm shooting more weddings with uncontrolled lighting environments, I'm noticing a big problem inherent in the 5D II; black dots in the center of directional light sources. Doesn't matter what type of light (LED, Tungsten, etc.) if its a directional light source and it's focused on you will see these black spots (it won't work on an overexposed sky or florescent light but a desk lamp, pro light or iphone LED light you will see it right away if you are focused on it.) The peculiar thing is that it only happens between ISO 640 and 2000. Once the camera is switched to ISO 2500 the issue disappears. It also is not present in still, video mode only. I'm surprised there hasn't been a bigger outcry about this issue since I'm noticing this as an issue win a lot of the wedding footage I shoot, especially with wider angle lenses since I typically have the subject in focus and the lights in the background as well.

I think it has to do with the CCDs being bombarded by light outside the visual spectrum (which the sun and many sources of light are full of, you just can't "see" them, like radio or x-ray, also waves). technically the CCDs can pick up the light, but lack a method of translating it into "color". sort of like an overload. I'm no expert though.

that's clearly a camera artifact though, not an object the size of the sun in front of the sun. the moon going in front of the sun = it gets really dark. etc.

i have a video of the sun from two days ago (after seeing a few things on you tube decided to give it a try with different settings on my htc phone.

i set the phone to solarise whilst waiting on the school run so approx 9.00 uk time and noticed the flare caused by poiting the camera at the sun the is a small black object in the middle of the flare. at this moment in time not sure if its just dust though on my camera on the phone. just waiting for a sunny day to try with the mrs phone which is the same.

possibly just a problem with the phone but who knows.

once i have tried the mrs phone i will let you know.
