Hey,i'm just trying to investigate this as best i can,so far the best explanation for me anyway is on the above top secret website.
One guy says:"My kodak camera produces pink splodges like that.. it varies depending on how you have it pointing towards the sun.. "
View pic here http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm17 ... B5111b.jpg

Yeah, yeah,i know...there is NO sun in the picture in question but you gotta admit the pink colour looks to be almost identical,so i'm concluding the same colouring can be achieved with all other light sources be it street lights or the moon :?: .However we are led to believe that many people witnessed this event for over an hour so that completely rules out the "camera theory" then.....LOL.

"The truth is out there"! 8-)

Also a pretty good quote from abovetopsecret.com

"I personally saw this last night. I work near cannon street and this week I have been working the night shift. I went for a cigarette (tobacco!) down by the side of the Thames and had a very clear view accross to the West where this light was. From the angle I could see from clouds were intermittently moving ocross the sky between me and the light making it dissapear now and then. What was obvious was that the light was stationary. "

"Personally I think it was some kind of light being projected upwards from the city, I wouldn't be suprised if it is some kind of advertising stunt which we will hear more about in the coming days or weeks. "

"What I dont agree with, as has been mentioned before on this subject, is that it was some strange atmospheric effect. I lived for 18 years in a flat which looked out from the top of Blackheath Hill with an amazing panoramic view of the London skyline and I have NEVER seen a light as bright and intense as this. I have seen many pink skys and lovely sunsets, but this light appeared several hours after the sun had dissapeared from the London sky."

In summary its advetising or Aliens!

Ok whos doing the advertising,i shall get in touch with those we think maybe responsible.
I'll get to the bottom of this if it kills me...or not.

Ok guys, sorry to disappoint but i think i have solved this mystery,it's rather mundane :hmmm:

View here: http://latestnews.virginmedia.com/inpic ... 08/10/17/8

What do you think :?:

And to quell the sceptics of this theory..another quote from abovetopsecret.com
"There is a little problem with the Breast Cancer Awareness explanation:
The Hurley breast awareness pic was taken on the 17th.
The cloud photo was taken 8.30pm on the 21st. (according to the Daily Mail.)

BUT...
"Indeed, it was Breast cancer awareness month, and a friend of mine assures me that the light from their campagn has been about for a couple days at least, while he was in London."

CASE SOLVED :?:

Sorry theshee i have to disagree with you 100%...the lights(colour)in the cancer awareness pic ARE IDENTICAL to the ones in the picture in question...it's a bit of a stretch even for me to believe that the pink cloud on view could be created by any other means....C'mon :hmmm: .As for it slowly disappearing i'm guessing that the pink lights projected by the cancer awareness event were just reacting to the clouds/atmosphere at that particluar time. For me anyway case closed. 8-)

ok here's my view on the cancer research aspect.

If the cloud passed throught the cone of light from the spotlights, then it most likely would appear to glow pink.
The qustion remains.. Is the position of the cloud within the cone of light? This requires we know a few facts.
1 the position of the cloud.
2 the position of the 2 spotlights.
3 the angle of the cone of light emitted by the spotlights.
These need to be plotted on a map.

THEN you need to subtract the shadow cast by the building the spotlights are illuminating
so
1 height of the building
2 distance of sotlights from the building
This will give you a minimum height / distance at which the lights can be visible.
tbh I'm guestimating that with the spotlights apparently so close to the building, the actual observable area for the pink lights to reflect off a low cloud is actually very small, and also very close to the event.

I'll leave it so someone else to apply the above.

Ok no problem theshee :flop: But still c'mon...a pink cloud....IDENTICAL coloured lights in the area at the same time from the cancer awareness project...there is no way for me this could be anything else :hmmm: A bit of a coincidence that. 8-)
I'm sure with regards to the faded look/blown away,i again bring in any particular type of cloud cover coupled together with the pollution in London which must be quite bad. Also when you search the web for pink clouds there really is nothing on this is subject either.
Nevermind we are all entitled to our opinion and thoughts and i aint gonna type all this and tell you to believe it,it's just information i have got,it what i believe to be true but you certainly dont have to :flop: I'm not like the government :flop:
