Hi people, what's your thoughts on the article in the mail online 21st october " While a pink sky at night might be a shepherd's delight, London residents were left scratching their heads last night as a mysterious pink cloud drifted over the city. Bemused bystanders in Mayfair craned their necks to witness the strange alien-like cloud that appeared for just under an hour at around 8:30pm. It hovered over buildings before breaking up and slowly disappearing."
Also, look at picture one, near the church there is something that on picture three has clearely mooved!!

I almost spewed my coffee when I read that. As if London is just adorned with neon pink lights
WOW! Very unatural!
Maybe the one commentor "oddtodd" has a theory, Failed project bluebeam test. He also linked to a vid from Georgia-Russia with a similar "Glow in the sky" look to it.

Unable to rip it for re-post here.
Could be that Bluebeam is nearing fruition.

tbh it looks a little artificial
but yeah, we've been seeing an increase in 'really random "stuff" in the sky' lately, and by "we" I mean "I" and by "increase" I mean "Alligator" and by "stuff" I do of course mean "scubagear". Just to clear that up!

Yes, I came across this a few days ago and thought it was an interesting anomaly. I, too, didn't buy the meteorological explanation of low cloud reflecting neon lights from the city - if it had occurred over New York or Las Vegas maybe - but not drab and dreary ole London town! I can't see London having quite enough neon (certainly not hot pink neon) to have given this degree of colour to low cloud!
So, for now, it appears it will have to remain a genuine mystery.

When Britain first, at Heaven's command arose from out the azure main; this was the charter of the land, and guardian angels sang this strain: "Rule, Britannia, rule the waves: Britons never will be slaves."
James Thomson (1700-1748)
Ive never seen anything like it befor either. I don't buy into that it was reflection of neon lights or any of the other stupid comments that were made (not here!!) by the public PMSL at some of them LOL Weird.... and a mystery to me too

Great post theshee,thanks.Yeah it's the city lights....Duuuh...
Well i don't know what this is,i'm sure there is someone who DOES.Could it be to do with project bluebeam
I'm sure some of you have done it,i hope you have but i'll serach the web for similar phenomenon and see if i can connect the dots

Lenticular clouds (often mistaken for flying saucers!)

Hole punch clouds

Fallstreak clouds

A typical 'anvil' cloud or 'thunderhead'

'Mammatus' clouds - appear before tornados

This one is close - but it is still clearly daylight so the glow is explainable by the sun low in the sky

Nacreous clouds, also close but only seen in Arctic/Antarctic regions at stratospheric altitudes

Colour not quite right?

Lightening causing the 'neon pink' glow here - not seen/reported in London!
Anyone for any more?
