You might like:
OK, for all the believers praying that there will be a solar event on July 7th that will knock out the power grid so you can jump up and down and say "We were right all along..."; I'm posting the SOHO images, which should update themselves from here automatically.
This way you can check them every couple of hours or so in nail-biting anticipation of the crop-circle predictions coming true. Of course, if it happens you won't see anything because your computer won't work anymore and you'll probably be more concerned about the planes falling out of the sky all around you.
I'm always checking the images anyway, if for no other reason than they are breathtaking,
even on a quiet day. So here's an easy way to view them without having to leave this site.

It looks like things are heating up! Good work CornBread, keep it up.
Since most of us are not experts on sun activity maybe you can leave a little caption explaining the changes and what they are in each update. I am very intertested in this prediction... popcorn and beer at my side, let the show begin!

I think it's pretty cool that these images update themselves right here.
I didn't know you could set that up.
I am second guessing myself now for saying something positive to back a good post cause I got called an arse licker yesterday in a thread, but I am not going to change who I am or what I want to say just because someone thinks there is a problem with giving some emphasis to something I like!
Thanks for the hooking us up with this, Cornbread!

I found out about the updating by accident. I posted some of these before and realized they updated all by themselves.

Here's the link:
http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/data/rea ... mages.html
When you go there you can enlarge the images even more if you click on them twice. There's some other cool stuff as well.
