A new deadly strain of super-flu could spread to Britain within 24 hours, experts have warned.

The potential for bird flu and human flu to combine and form a new virus has been described as 'one of the biggest biological threats of our time'.

The alert comes as people have started to fall victim to seasonal flu and the more virulent swine flu at the same time, according to the Daily Express.

Dr. Oz says this is Movie Contagion gets it right…the scariest part is the fear, the panic and the breakdown of society of this apocalyptic virus.

Dr. Oz said the plot of the movie Contagion is possible and will happen in our lifetime, it’s a scary thought but I also believe we are going to witness some pretty terrific horrors in my lifetime. Hope for the best and plan for the worst says Dr. Ian Lipkin who joined Dr. Oz today along with Dr. Allison Aiello. Dr. Lipkin said one of the reasons the movie was done was to show that there is no reason why it should take at least 6 months to make a vaccine, saying resources is the problem. By making a decision to make an investment, a decision that has to be made by the entire culture, if the government doesn’t do it, it’s not going to happen.

What do you infer from that last sentence?

There might be a small problem getting everyone to submit to the vaccine, though. It doesn't take much to imagine where that could lead. I should watch the movie, I guess.

It might be a good idea for us all to start wearing protective masks, as he suggests,
