Are you the imagination of yourself ?, and why would that be ?
Do you realise that your perception of reality is changed daily through the concoction of surrounding ideas ?
Your identity is shaped and guided through time by other personalities as they themselves were also shaped, even though those themselves may not be aware of it, or simply refuse to believe it so.
Your name is not really you. Your experiences are.
You are not really a subtitle to your country, English, German, American. Although you may think you are.
The divides created over time by either geography or belief system support the notion of this mythical and irrelevant concoction of intertwining ideals.
We tend to think of ourselves as ourself, or more realistically, we outwardly portray ourselves as such, however the only true self we will ever know, is the self that lives within the mind. The self that speaks to us as we move through reality, the self that judges and makes sense of the world, and the self that it is most vulnerable to outside intervention whether consciously or subconsciously.
Yet beneath it all, behind the veil of outward illusion, we are all the same, no amount of prejudice or ignorance changes this fact, we are no different from one another, the only reason these myths exist are simply because of the outward perceptions we convey, and in time they spread and create the divides, far deeper and greater than any seismic rift, or geographical anomaly.
We are our own worst enemies, and it is all because of the ignorance of our race and the outward perceptions we continue to propagate. Everything else is mute and in turn founded by these unavoidable facts.
You can fight an army, you can win a war, but not against yourself. No matter how well and skilled we become at lying to ourselves or to those around us. No amount of protests, fighting, and squabbling will ever change this.
I think we are a fundamentally flawed species, I think the events of nature that favoured our advancement through destruction of life that came before us, gave us a spacial advantage on terra firma, and the speed and growth rate at which humanity has managed to spread, has not gone hand in hand with our intelligence. We are a clever species, but by no means clever enough to see the approach of doom on the distant horizon. We will instead be more than content in squabbling and bickering until the darkness falls upon us.
It will come eventually, and it will be out of our hands to control or even understand.
We also deserve our demise like no species that has come before on this planet. We are for all intensive purposes a very advanced and functional virus. Every singular virus on earth performs function, some with varying degrees of success, such as the bubonic plague. Yet to that slice of life, it is just doing what it does. As do we.
Can anyone argue that we are not more in common with a virus than a creator ?
I wonder how a bird up on high in the sky perceives our little petri dish ? Would it look like a city to it, or a cancer on the land ?
It is the grandest of ironies that we are smart enough to realise this, but ignorant enough to turn our backs on it. We are nothing special, we are not even that successful, unless you count technology as a success, and even that, will inevitably lead to our irrelevance and demise, we already know this, but we do it anyway and call it progress, and progress is so very important to the cancer of humanity, and like cancer, we use technology like a cell, in order to spread our perceptions of ourselves. When all we are really doing, is growing, exploiting and destroying. Which is very similar to something else previously discussed.
Well that was a downer, eh. Nevermind, here is a cat that hiccups and farts, that will soon make you forget this brief glimmer into the human dilemma. I guarantee you, it will be the only real value you can take from a post like this.
