I live in the uk and there really isn't a problem getting water out of the sky.

This is what I mean freeyourmindnow, when I say it's a gimmick.
It's for those that have more money than sense.

Nobody knows the future. cub scout moto, BE PREPARED !!! :shooting:

That's my whole point, the scouts don't use a machine.
If you want to be prepared learn some practical skills like.
How to obtain water from various sources.
How to start a fire without matches or a lighter.
This kind of useful information can be found in a book, that doesn't need plugging in or charging.

his website claims different to the video
This is a Registered 55 Gallon capacity Water Generator
Produces water at .04 cents per gallon!
It can produce up to 55 Gallons of drinking water in 3 days and 2 hours at an average of 60 % humidity.
Uses Regular Household current, 110volts.
Light-weight and portable

is it not just a big dehumidifier?

I'd like to see a solar / rechargeable battery version, then it would be really useful in an emergency situation. Until then, in an emergency, power as well as water usually goes, which leaves this machine useless unless there's a back up power source to run it.

I believe you can buy all of this at Harbor Freight for $200.00 (145 watt panel plus converter)

I wouldn't buy anything electrical from HFT....or anything you really need to rely on for that matter!
P.s. I requested the self build DVD. Perhaps I will do a step by step?
Now I'm nothing...
