Text messages directly to your contact lens.... :peep:

New technology that will allow information, such as text messages from a mobile phone, to be projected onto a contact lens worn in the human eye has been developed by Belgian researchers.

"This is not science fiction," said Jelle De Smet, the chief researcher on the project, who believes commercial applications for the lenses will be available within five years.

This is really new! Don't think that screen is always going to be situated on a hand-held (or paw-held) system. Technologies are advancing again, creating this so-called LCD contact lens. Scientists in Belgium have brought us much closer to the reality of having an LCD in a contact lens, reports Business Insider. So if you want to be in soon, you better start saving your cash now.
